Catalyst Project

Facilitating wheelchair services through faith-based hospitals in low-resource countries.

Sign post with an arrow pointing the way to "Prudence."

Prudence is not a word one hears very often. But it has kind of been in my face this week for several reasons. We've been studying Proverbs. Proverbs 1:3&4 talk about the need for prudence. I looked it up, and realized it is so central to things happening for us in 2023. "Good judgement in new situations. Careful use of resources."

Challenges needing prudence

A personal challenge

Phil has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He’s not planning to travel with me anymore, but very much wants me to continue for as long as it is prudent to do so. We are so grateful for the helpful medications available. Please pray for us as we learn to walk forward step by step with joy.

Two amazing work challenges

Motivation’s international CEO contacted us and wants to work together! plans are that I will be meeting with Motivation leadership when I’m in Kenya in February. (See Motivation's website).

Two men working with Partners Worldwide, have been talking to us, and to BethanyKids about coming alongside to fund wheelchair production in Kenya!! They are interested in meeting with some of our Catalyst team in Guatemala to plan next steps.

For both of these initiatives, it will take prudence and discretion to put things in place right from the beginning so that all is done well. Especially as we work to keep our focus on our end goal of bringing hope to families dealing with disabilities.

Wishing you prudence and joy
in all your challenges in 2023
