Catalyst Project

Facilitating wheelchair services through faith-based hospitals in low-resource countries.

Catalyst logo

God has brought people on board that have broadened our focus to provide different types of training that will enable better care for those with disabilities. We’re also working in Guatemala as well as Africa, so the old logo that focused on wheelchairs and Africa is now only part of what we do. Please pray with me as I mentor and facilitate!

New things happening and new people!

KristiChristine

Kristi Biggers (on the left ) came with us to Ethiopia. Now she is officially a team member!! Kristi is a nurse (RN, BSN) with over 10 years of experience. She has also been a clinical instructor and preceptor. She and her husband Jonathan are heading for Guatemala to strengthen outreach to those with disabilities as soon as their support comes in.

Christine Broby (on the right ) just finished her second training session in Kenya last week and is now a trainer of trainers for Ubuntu. This program empowers parents to understand their child’s disability, provide better care, and initiates parent support groups. Her heart to help marginalized people, and her great background in Community Health Education makes her such a good fit. On top of that, she’s willing to travel to teach and spend the time to establish Ubuntu at different locations.
